My Story
Hi, my name is Megan and I’d like to start by introducing myself! I was in High School when I got a job as an assistant at a salon in Whitby. Quickly I learned I loved the fast-paced environment. Working in the salon, I quickly realized it was an industry I could thrive in. I was offered an apprenticeship with the owner of the salon, George. He was the best role model.
I strongly believe we are products of our environment and I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such talented, renowned stylists. In this industry, you learn something new every day. I am always striving to do my best and building a solid clientele is so much more work than I was prepared for. But I stick with it because I love it. I love making people feel good about themselves. It’s such a rewarding career and definitely worth overcoming the obstacles.
Colour is always a process, but I love how you can completely transform someone’s look within a few hours. I often get referred to as an “unlicensed therapist” by my clients. Sitting in my chair is more than a hair appointment. It’s a safe space to be yourself, tell me about yourself, the good and the bad. No judgment, just support. And at the end of your session, you’ll feel better inside, and out.
